# Getting Started

Welcome to Incident Tracker! This guide will walk you through the initial setup to ensure your environment is configured correctly.

### 1. Create Users

To add a new user:

1. Navigate to **Admin > Create New User**.
2. Fill in all required text fields.
3. Optionally:
   * **Force Password Change**: Require the user to change their password upon first login.
   * **Send Login Information**: Automatically email the login details to the user.

### 2. Set User Rights

After creating a user, define their permissions:

1. Go to **Admin > Manage Users**.
2. Select the user from the dropdown.
3. Set their rights and restrictions by category and/or location.

### 3. Create Categories

1. Navigate to **Admin > Manage Categories**.
2. Add new categories and sub-categories as needed.

### 4. Create Locations

1. Go to **Admin > Manage Locations**.
2. Add locations with up to three-tiers for detailed structuring.

### 5. Submit a Report

To log an incident:

1. Click on **Submit Report** at the top menu.
2. Complete all required fields.
   1. File attachments can be added to the report directly after submitting.

### 6. View Reports

To access submitted reports:

1. Click on **Reports and Analytics**, or **My Reports**, depending on your access.
2. Report access may be limited based on your assigned rights and restrictions.
3. Click on a report number to open it.
