# Manage Workflows

The **Manage Workflows** feature in Incident Tracker allows administrators to automate report assignments and notifications based on specific criteria. This ensures that reports are directed to the appropriate personnel promptly, enhancing efficiency and accountability.

## Configuring Workflow Assignments and Alerts

To set up workflow assignments and alerts:

1. Navigate to **Admin > Manage Workflows**.
2. Click **Create New Workflow** or select an existing workflow to edit.
3. Define the **Trigger Conditions**:
   * **Report Category**: Specify the category that will activate the workflow.
   * **Report Location**: Specify the location that will activate the workflow.
4. Set the **Actions** to be performed when the trigger conditions are met:
   * **Assign Report To**: Select the user or group to whom the report will be assigned.
   * **Send Alert To**: Choose to send alerts to the assigned user, report author, or additional email addresses.
   * **Custom Alert Message**: Compose a custom message to be included in the alert email.
5. Click **Save** to activate the workflow.

Workflows can be configured to trigger based on specific categories, locations, or a combination of both.

## Managing Existing Workflows

* **Editing a Workflow**: Click the **Edit icon** next to the workflow name to modify its trigger conditions or actions.
* **Deleting a Workflow**: Click the **Delete icon** to remove the workflow.

Deleting a workflow will stop all automated actions associated with it. Ensure that the workflow is no longer needed before deletion.

## Best Practices

* Regularly review workflows to ensure they align with current reporting structures and personnel.
* Test workflows after creation to confirm that they function as intended.
