# Manage Locations

The **Manage Locations** feature in Incident Tracker allows administrators to create and organize locations, sub-locations, and areas/rooms. This hierarchical structure helps in accurately categorizing incident reports based on their physical locations.

## Creating Locations

To create a new location:

1. Navigate to **Admin > Manage Locations**.
2. Click **Add New Location**.
3. Enter the **Location Name**.
4. Click **Save** to add the location.

Use clear and descriptive names for locations to ensure easy identification.

## Adding Sub-Locations

To add a sub-location under an existing location:

1. Navigate to **Admin > Manage Locations**.
2. Click the **Sub-Locations** link next to the desired location.
3. Click **Add New Sub-Location**.
4. Enter the **Sub-Location Name**.
5. Click **Save** to add the sub-location.

Sub-locations help in further categorizing incidents within a main location.

## Adding Areas/Rooms

To add areas or rooms under a sub-location:

1. Navigate to **Admin > Manage Locations**.
2. Click the **Sub-Locations** link next to the desired location.
3. Click the **Rooms for Sub-Location** link next to the desired sub-location.
4. Click **Add New Room**.
5. Enter the **Room Name**.
6. Click **Save** to add the room.

Ensure that rooms are correctly associated with their respective sub-locations to maintain accurate reporting.

## Editing or Deleting Locations

* **Editing**: Click the **Edit icon** next to a location, sub-location, or room to modify its name.
* **Deleting**: Click the **Delete icon** to remove a location, sub-location, or room.

Deleting a location, sub-location, or room will not remove it from existing reports but will prevent it from being used in future reports.
